About the Artist

Deborah Wyatt Taylor has always had a love for the western spirit.  Though born and raised in the eastern part of the United States, she has been interested in western history and loved the drawing and painting of cowboys and horses for over 20 years.  She began drawing as a child and studied art into her college years; then Deborah  went on to utilize her artistic talents in business before deciding to devote herself to art full time.

Today, she works primarily in oil on subjects inspired by her Tucson, Arizona surroundings.  Deborah has also participated in juried National Art Shows including the famous Mountain Oyster Club Western Art Show,  Phippen Western Art Show, and the WAOW Annual Show and Sale.

Deborah has had the distinction of being a featured artist in Western Horseman Magazine.   She was also selected as a contributing artist for Wild West Magazine, and for Art of the American West, a hardcover publication celebrating Western Art and Artists. Her work is currently on display at the "Western Way Gallery" in Tombstone, Arizona at 374 E. Allen Street, next to the historic O.K. Corral.

D. Wyatt Taylor utilizes a style that is rich in realistic detail that endeavors to offer the viewer a three dimensional effect; and strives to capture the true "spirit of the west".
